The only members of this committee are people who did a board year in the past. You can kind of see it as a VIP club within Sipke. After a whole academic year, it is time for the board of that year to step down. "Het stokje doorgeven" is what we call it in Dutch. When you become "bestuur af" you have no purpose anymore (it's kind of a joke). When you become a board member in the beginning of the year, you have to "earn" your board tie. A year after you've earned your board tie is the time to earn your GNC tie. By then you'll be "bestuur af" and you get the chance to become a member of this lovely committee. As I joked about before, old board members don't have a purpose anymore. The GNC is at its best as an advisory body for the current board. Keep in mind for every board member it's probably their first time. This is where the GNC comes in play and shines at its best.
